Spray a fine spray of the slip solution completely over the top of the film (this is so that when you hard squeegee the water from under the film the squeegee will guide freely over the film). |
| |
Using a hard squeegee or a hard card squeegee that can be found in the budget installation kit start at the top edge and push using some pressure* work from the top to the bottom and from left to right making sure that all the water is removed from behind the film. Overlap strokes and keep the top edge of the squeegee further forward than the bottom edge (as with the squeegee technique in step 7. This makes sure that excess water runs below the squeegee instead of over the top on the area you have already squeezed. |
Dry the edges of the film completely. If the edges are left wet water could drip down behind the film and if left it will dry with bubbles behind the film. Make sure not to put too much pressure when drying as the adhesive has not had time to cure (dry out). be careful not to push the film off the glass or crease the film. |

Job done! You will be left with a dry, neat install neatly trimmed to the glass with no bubbles. If you have any problems along the way please call us on 01527 870952. |
* be careful of weak glass as this can cause injury, if you are not sure that the glass is strong enough to take pressure please do not install the film on this window
